What is Fisher Classics?

Fisher Classics is a creative studio that treats sport as culture. We create commemorative artworks, design-led collections, visual identities and story-led creative work for clubs, organisations and discerning sports fans.

What does “sport as culture” mean?

It means we see sport as more than entertainment or merchandise. Sport carries memory, identity, place, ritual and story. Fisher Classics exists to give those things form through considered design, artwork and storytelling.

What makes Fisher Classics different from sports memorabilia or fan art?

Most sports memorabilia is made to celebrate a moment. Our work is made to hold meaning over time. Fisher Classics creates pieces with story, context and craft — work designed to live in a room, not just fill a wall.

Who is Fisher Classics for?

Fisher Classics is for clubs, leagues, sporting organisations and cultural institutions that care about heritage and identity. It is also for sports fans and collectors who want refined work for their homes, studies, offices or club spaces.

What kinds of work does Fisher Classics create?

We create commemorative artworks, collectible print editions, visual identities, editorial design, campaign and content assets, and story-led creative projects connected to sport, place and culture.

What is the difference between the Fisher Classics shop and the studio?

The shop is where you can buy artworks and print editions. The studio is where commissioned and client work happens — including commemorations, identity projects and cultural storytelling for clubs, organisations and collaborators.

What is a Fisher Classics commemoration?

A commemoration is a design-led piece made to mark something that matters. That might be an anniversary, a premiership, a retirement, a redevelopment, a milestone or a life in sport. It is not just an artwork. It is a way of giving story, memory and achievement a lasting form.

What kinds of sporting moments or milestones do you work on?

We work on moments that carry weight. Premierships, titles, anniversaries, retirements, redevelopments, club milestones, life member honours, foundations, fundraising pieces and significant sporting careers all fit naturally within our approach.

Can Fisher Classics create a custom artwork for a club, player, retirement, anniversary or redevelopment?

Yes. Custom commissions are a core part of the studio. We work with clients to develop pieces that reflect the people, place and meaning behind the moment being recognised.

Do you only make the artwork, or do you help tell the story too?

We do both. Fisher Classics can create the piece itself and also help shape the words, framing and narrative around it. Whether for a plaque, unveiling, publication, email, case study or club communications.

Can a project include editions or keepsakes for members, players, sponsors or collectors?

Yes. Some projects extend beyond the main piece to include smaller editions, companion prints or related keepsakes. This helps the story travel further while keeping the whole project visually coherent.

Do you work with clubs, committees, sporting organisations and private collectors?

Yes. We work with sporting clubs, committees, organisations, collaborators and private clients. The common thread is a respect for sport, story and the importance of making something properly.

How does the commission process work?

Most commissions begin with a conversation. From there, we define the brief, the story, the setting and the scope of the work. Research, concept development, design and production then follow in a clear and considered process.

What do you need from a client to get started?

A strong starting point usually includes the occasion or purpose of the project, the intended setting, any relevant history or reference material, timing, budget expectations and the people involved in decision-making.

How long does a Fisher Classics project usually take?

That depends on the size and complexity of the project. Smaller pieces can move quickly. More detailed commemorations or multi-part projects take longer. If a project is tied to an unveiling, event or milestone date, it is best to enquire early.

How much does a Fisher Classics project cost?

Pricing depends on scope. The size of the piece, the amount of research, the level of design development, production requirements, framing and any story or edition components all affect cost. Projects are quoted according to what is being made.

Are Fisher Classics artworks available framed?

Many artworks are available framed, and some projects are designed with framing or presentation in mind from the outset. Specific framing options vary by piece and project.

Do you ship across Australia and internationally?

Yes. Fisher Classics can arrange shipping across Australia and internationally, depending on the work, framing and delivery requirements.
