What is Fisher Classics?

Where sport meets story — and design brings it to life.

Fisher Classics is a creative studio that treats sport as culture.
We create commemorative artworks, visual storytelling, and cultural design pieces for clubs, collectors, and organisations who want something that belongs in the room, not just on the feed.

Meet the Fisher Classics artist behind the sports art prints shop

Fisher Classics began during Melbourne’s 2020 lockdowns — a creative outlet by designer and digital producer Dan Toomey.

What started with a love of cricket and design quickly found an audience. The debut First XI series struck a chord with fans in Australia, India, and the UK, capturing the spirit of the game through a handcrafted, vintage aesthetic.

Since then, Fisher Classics has created centenary artworks for clubs, visual identities for modern sports media, and bespoke pieces for athletes and collectors who want to celebrate their careers and stories with artistry and intent.

Fisher Classics also shapes the visual identity of Cricket Et Al, a contemporary cricket media brand known for its daily Test match coverage and distinct editorial design. From cover art to podcast assets, our design work helps bring their storytelling to life.

Every Fisher Classics piece carries a handmade signature — layered textures, type drawn from match-day programmes and cigarette cards, and a design sensibility that honours the craft and emotion of sport itself.

“I love hearing the stories behind custom pieces. They’re always personal — things you won’t hear on Fox Footy or the nightly news. These are emotional works, and I’m honoured people trust me with their memories.”
