Hostilities - The greatest football rivalry

Chase brings to life the 1917 Grand Final between Fitzroy and Collingwood, with three players in full pursuit of the ball and the Members Stand bursting at the seams behind them. It is an image that captures not only the speed of the game, but also the cultural pull of football during wartime Melbourne.

As part of the Sporting Life series, this piece is a modern reimagining of an image first seen in defunct sporting papers. Printed on archival stock and offered both framed and unframed, Chase is made to elevate a contemporary man cave, office, or study.
